About Mediology
Mediology LLC is a development company concentrating on niche industry ecommerce websites, informational websites and bulletin boards/forums as well as Internet Marketing tactics and techniques.
The company name, “Mediology”, came about after bouncing ideas back and forth for a couple of months. “Media” and “Technology” were two major areas of focus for us. Thus the etymology “Mediology” was born.
As with many of the domain names we wish to acquire this one was not available. This didnt stop us! We followed the name and eventually, like some great domain names do it expired and we purchased it at auction.
Although our site is relatively new we have years of experience. Our experience lies in a few, specialized fields:
- Domain Names - Domains are one of the best marketing tools online yet until recently have been very under utilized and thus under valued. For years the founder of Mediology established himself within the domain name community acquiring, selling and developing over a thousand names.
- Search engine optimization - As a student of the Internet John was able to move no less than 10 websites to the very top of Google et al. Not just for obscure keywords. Many are highly sought after. Several of these sites have been at the top of the search engines for many years and drive tons of visitors to our sites.
- PPC (Pay Per Click) marketing - A tough racket to say the least. When we first began using PPC search engines in the late 90’s there were only a couple to choose from. Our first marketing campaign was with GoTo.com which is now Overture/Yahoo. We had a plan which worked and worked well. PPC’s have become far more competitive however our strategy still works extremely well and nets us results for our ecommerce sites.
- Development - Mediology develops, among other things, software which is used in house and sometimes leased or sold, websites/domain names into viable internet properties. This includes several of our own successful ecommerce sites.
About our staff
Mediology is made up of a small group of dedicated employees, six to be exact, each with their own specific job. We also outsource some design work and programming to strategic partners we have been doing business with for years.
Over the years we have had many other talented members of our staff some who have graduated to some of the mightiest companies on the net.
We are all proud of the work we do and quite frankly love doing it.
